I worked for Mr Quinney as a child way back in the 70’s. He was a very sweet, generous and kind man. I knocked on his door at the kennels asking for a weekend job as a kennel maid. He was a brilliant cook and we had amazing Sunday dinners and being with the dogs and going to shows was a dream. He gave me a gentle ticking off once saying “I don’t pay you for playing with the puppies” and I replied “ I would work here for nothing” He laughed so much and replied “would you now”
What wonderful memories.
